Earlier this year, I decided that I wanted to start incorporating film into my photography. I became inspired after seeing such beautiful film photography on instagram.
While I edit my digital photos to be like film, there is still a difference between the look of digital and film. The colors in film photography are more vibrant and true to real life. Let’s compare!
The photo on the left is film and the photo on the right is digital. As you can see, the photo on the left has more vivid colors verses the photo on the right. The film photos is true to how the Cherry Blossom looked in real life!
If you love the look of film too, ask your wedding photographer if they shoot film. There are a few wedding photographers in DC who specialized in film only photography for your wedding! But other wedding photographers, like me, take a few important photos – such as your portraits – on film. Film is expensive to buy and process, so it does cost extra to have wedding photos shot on film. But the cost is definitely worth it to have timeless film photos.
Hope you love film photography as much as I do!
