Direct Sunlight Photography at Jones Point Park
One of my goals this year was to invest in one-on-one mentoring for my photography business. The first mentor session I decided to invest in was with Casey Crowe Taylor Photography to learn how to photograph couples in direct sunlight. Photographing in direct sunlight is not an easy task. And not every photographer can do it, so it was really important to me to learn how in order to bring value to my clients.
I met Casey (yes, we have the same name) for a Jones Point Park anniversary session with Katie and David, who have been married for two years. Jones Point Park is a great location for shooting in direct sunlight. There’s lots of open space with access to the sky, but there’s also a wooded area that allowed us to use direct sunlight as a “spotlight” on Katie and David.
